Discover Our Divisions

Office of the Chief of Staff

The Office includes senior leadership coordinating Divisions and strategizing Initiatives. It houses advisory bodies, like the Academic Advisory Board, which guide policy stances and democratic reforms to strengthen institutional faith.

Advocacy Division

Researching and addressing issues like voter suppression and gerrymandering, crafting nonpartisan, evidence-based proposals for democratic engagement and advocating for policy reforms to local, state, and federal officials.

Organizing Division

Planning and executing events, such as nonpartisan town halls, educational assemblies, and public programming. The Organizing Division crafts materials to educate the public on democracy, civic engagement, and the dangers of authoritarianism, while advocating for disenfranchised communities and collaborating with the Advocacy Division on solutions.

Communications Division

Communications oversees media relations, press releases, speechwriting, website development, social media management, physical material design/production, and any other outwardly facing communications activities to support of the Task Force initiatives.

Appropriations Division

Organizational fundraising, development, grant writing, and asset management. Appropriations handles hosting fundraising events, working with the Communications Division to solicit supporters for donations, and submitting grant applications from other pro-democracy tax-exempt organizations.

Operations Division

Operations handles recruiting, onboarding, legal affairs, and human resources for the Task Force.

Allied Coalitions Division

Building and maintaining alliances with pro-democracy organizations, coordinating joint events, fostering ties with youth-led groups, crafting unified pro-democracy messaging, optimizing resources to achieve our goals, and raising awareness collectively about emerging threats to democracy.

Learn about the democracy movement and work alongside student organizers to resist authoritarianism and truly representative & inclusive democracy of tomorrow!

Our internship program includes bi-monthly trainings in the subject areas on the left. During that time you’ll also gain experience working with the Task Force for Democracy as we fight autocracy and defend voting rights!

After the internship’s conclusion, we’ll help you get started in the democracy field of your choice or you can opt to continue working alongside us!
